AG Decides to Indict Zaken, Others

Attorney-General Mani Mazuz and the State Prosecutor’s Office has announced their intention to indite several high-ranking current and former-officials from the Prime Minister's Office and the Tax Authority as part of the ongoing investigation against PM Ehud Olmert. Official notification has been sent to those involved. The major charges in the inditement center on illegal  “political” appointments within the Tax Authority and various charges of bribery.

Amongst those included were Shula Zaken, PM Olmert’s former chief assistant, her brother Yoram Karshi, and several high ranking figures within the Tax Authority in Israel and abroad.
