Poll: Foreign Arabs Prefer Hamas over Fatah

A poll in six Arab countries reveals that Hamas is slightly more popular than the rival Fatah terrorist faction, contrary to polls in Judea, Samaria and Gaza that have shown Fatah to be far more popular. The survey was undertaken by the Shibley Telhami, a non-resident fellow at the Saban Center at the Brookings Institution.

A majority of Arabs view the Arab-Palestinian Authority conflict as the most important issue but also think there will be no peace. The poll also showed that Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah is the most popular Arab figure.
