The CEO of Google Israel, Meir Brand, present some impressive statistics to the Teachers’ Union conference today entitled “Creating a Future”. He noted that more than 70 percent of households in Israel have a computer and 90 percent of those have broadband internet access. These statistics, according to Brand, place Israel in second place in terms of personal computing in the world.
Brand also noted that “since children are spending more and more time facing computers…only educators familiar with computers can link the students and time they spend with computers to efficient and quality content.”
