PM Ehud Olmert visited the nuclear installations in Dimona this afternoon, including a guided tour of the site. American sources indicated that they believed this visit to be linked to the possibility of an Israeli strike on Iran within the coming year. MK Maj. Gen. (reserve) Yitzhak Ben-Yisrael stated that while Israel has the ability to attack Iran, it will not be in the coming months.
Later the Prime Minister spoke at the Negev Council in Dimona, but didn’t mention the Iranian issue or Dimona.
