Labor Knesset Member Danny Yatom announced Monday afternoon he is quitting the Knesset because of what he called Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's "moral failures." He threatened last week he would leave the legislature if Labor were to agree to continue in the coalition.

"The leadership has turned survival into an objective, and corruption scandals continue one after the other," Yatom said in a written statement. Last month, Labor MK and former Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh quit the Knesset.
