Left-Wing Calls Prisoner Deal “Moral Obligation”
(IsraelNN.com) MK Dov Khanin (Hadash) called on the government to advance the proposed prisoner release deal with the Hizbullah to return captive IDF soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser because “the suffering which the families are undergoing is harsh and completing the deal is our moral obligation to them”
The government is currently discussing the proposed deal; while several ministers from Kadima, Shas, and the Pensioner’s Party have expressed their support for the deal, it is unknown how several key figures, including PM Olmert, intend to vote on the deal.
