In a Sunday morning protest in Jerusalem dozens of people are demanding a prisoner swap deal with Hizbullah. The protesters are demonstrating in front of the Knesset before Sunday morning's expected vote on the deal during its weekly cabinet meeting.
According to reports, despite reservations exhibited by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, there is wide cabinet support for the deal with Hizbullah, which aims to return kidnapped IDF reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. An aide close to Olmert was quoted as saying that the deal is "problematic", but that the issue has reached the "point of no return" despite belief in some government circles that Goldwasser and Regev are no longer alive.
