The Histadrut national labor union and the Manufacturers Association are to sign an agreement Thursday allowing workers to use company computers for personal use, Globes reported. The agreement will make Israel one of the first countries in the world to allow private use of work computers.

However, employers will be have the right to monitor personal use if it suspects workers are using the computers for illegal purposes or for objectives that are harmful to the company. Personal e-mails are the private property of the worker unless he allows them to be seen.
