(IsraelNN.com) Agriculture Ministry inspectors this weekend caught 69,000 smuggled eggs originating in Hevron.  The Agriculture Ministry’s special inspection unit caught the eggs in a specially-camouflaged garbage truck, which had been caught previously for similar offenses.  The driver of the truck allegedly re-painted it and affixed both Israeli and PA-area licenses plates and tags, allowing for freedom of movement through both Israeli and PA security checkpoints.

The smuggler, a 40 year old Israeli citizen and resident, is suspected of violating IDF Central Command military orders preventing Israeli citizens from entering PA-controlled areas. The eggs were destroyed following their seizure by Ministry officials.
