Elior Chen, who is suspected of heading a group that tortured a Jerusalem family's children, told his lawyers that he refuses to be extradited to Israel from Brazil. Chen fled to Brazil and was arrested there after a period of hiding from the authorities.

Chen's Israeli lawyer said that the suspect had also hired local lawyers to prevent or delay his extradition as long as possible.
