The former CEO of the failed Heftsiba construction company, Boaz Yona, reached a plea bargain deal Monday with state prosecutors that will send him to jail for seven years and pull NIS 4 million out of his pockets, to be paid to his victims, the clients who purchased homes from his company that they never lived in.
The agreement was signed by Yona, his lawyer, Yair Golan and by the Economic Section of the State Attorney's Office, as well as the Taxation and Economic Prosecution Office, before the former CEO landed at Ben Gurion International Airport on Monday. Yona was extradited from Italy; he will be remanded into custody until the end of proceedings against him.
