Hamas: 'Ceasefire is Close'

"The negotiations for a ceasefire are about to conclude. This will fulfull the Palestinian people's aspirations for an ending of the blockade and the end of violence," declared Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Monday, who asserted that a tahadiyeh, or "calm" agreement between the terrorist organization and Israel was imminent.The chief terrorist added that the ceasefire would start in Gaza, but would then also "spread out to [Judea and Samaria.]"

Hamas claimed responsibility Monday evening for a Grad missile attack on the port city of Ashkelon several hours earlier in which one person was seriously wounded by shrapnel, and a number of others suffered severe emotional shock.
