(IsraelNN.com) Israel Post workers are renewing their strike this morning. Workers will not distribute mobile post and mail will not be distributed to the various postal branches. The Israel Post will also not transfer funds to the major health insurance funds or allow the Communications Ministry to perform routine checks.

The workers are protesting the Finance Ministry’s decision regarding their pensions and retirement programs. Finance Ministry officials noted that those affected by the strike were mostly from the periphery and called for the workers to return to the negotiations.

Reports this morning have indicated that social workers and the Petach Tikva municipality workers are also striking today.
