An IDF soldier was moderately wounded by sniper fire Tuesday morning near the Kissufim Crossing into Gaza. He was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.  The Hamas terrorist organization which controls Gaza claimed responsibility for the attack.  

A mortar shell was fired at Israel by terrorists in northern Gaza at approximately 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. The shell exploded in an open field in the Sdot HaNegev Regional Council area. No one was injured and no property damage was reported in the attack.
