(IsraelNN.com) A group of Swedish former neo-Nazi teens came to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum Monday to present the findings of their research into the stories of 16 victims from their own hometown of Karstad. The youths added pages of testimony for the previously unknown victims as part of the project, dubbed "Combating Social Unrest."

Swedish Holocaust educator Christer Mattsson came up with the project as a new way to combat neo-Nazism among youth by converting them into Holocaust educators themselves.

"The first time I took a neo-Nazi to Auschwitz, I didn't know what to expect," Mattsson told Associated Press. "But after seeing it, after seeing where Jews used to live, he said, 'I can no longer deny it happened or salute what happened.' "
