Israel's largest newspapers relegated Jerusalem Unification Day to the back pages Tuesday, leaving the nationalist Makkor Rishon-HaTzofeh the only newspaper to publish the event on its front page. Thousands of people watched the traditional flag dance at two separate locations in the city.
Israel's largest newspaper, Yediot Aharonot, concentrated on the annual march from the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva, highlighting the Arab terrorist massacre of eight students earlier this year.
Celebrations will continue Tuesday afternoon with the annual parade of floats in downtown Jerusalem.
