Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni worked as an intelligence officer in Paris for the Mossad in the early 1980s, the Times of London reported Sunday. She is known to have worked for the intelligence agency, but the Times report is the first account of details of her work.

During her service, a senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) terrorist was killed by gunfire from a passing motorcycle. Livni never was implicated in the counterterrorist action but she resigned from her post and returned to Israel shortly afterwards.
