Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Sunday that Israel must learn from its experience and avoid fuzzy agreements with its neighbors: "Unclear agreements do not solve the conflict but make it worse," she said. "Peace is not a piece of paper."
Livni added: "We have an interest in reaching understandings but we cannot afford any more failures. High expectations, like the ones in the days of Barak and Arafat, eventually led to the intifadah."
Livni spoke at an event marking the 40th anniversary of the Truman Institute.
