Despite anti-Israel animosity on the part of Israel's Arab neighbors, direct exports from the Jewish state to the Arab world are growing at a rapid pace. Exports to Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Jordan were 45 percent higher in the first quarter of 2008 than in the corresponding quarter of 2007, according to the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute.
Jordan is currently Israel's biggest Arab customer, with an 85 percent increase in exports last year, largely comprised of metals, jewelry, processed wood products, textiles, and plastics from over 1,000 Israeli companies.
