(IsraelNN.com) Lawyers for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said a short time ago after a Jerusalem District Court hearing that he did not break any law in receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash from American businessman Morris Talansky. Attorney Meyer Lansky added that the next step in the case will be his cross-examination of Talansky, who is to return from the United States next month.

State Prosecutor Moshe Lador told reporters that there is no guarantee that there will be an indictment against the Prime Minister and that it is too early to make a decision. However, public figures are not allowed to accept private contributions for personal use, even if there is no bribery involved, Voice of Israel government radio legal commentator Moshe Negbi said.
