Uri Ariel, leader of the National Union caucus, has convinced Defense Minister Ehud Barak to restore financial assistance for shatterproof windows for motorists living in Judea and Samaria. The Defense Minster earlier had eliminated the assistance, prompting charges that the government is intentionally leaving residents at the mercy of terrorists.

Arab terrorists throw rocks at vehicles on highways daily throughout Judea and Samaria, and the perpetrators try to strike or startle the driver and cause him to lose control of his or her vehicle and crash.
