Electric Cars Popular in Gaza (IsraelNN.com) Gaza residents are turning to electric cars because of the growing fuel shortage, Reuters News Agency reported. Many residents have been using cooking oil to run their cars because of the lack of fuel since constant terrorist attacks forced Israel to limit shipments. In addition, local fuel distributors occasionally have staged strikes to protest the limited amount of fuel, which has been worsened by frequent Hamas confiscations of gasoline. "At first people laughed, saying it would not work; now people are begging us to convert their cars," Gaza car electrician Fayez Anan told Reuters. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
