(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is to testify at 10 a.m. on Friday concerning tens of thousands of dollars that were donated in cash by American businessman Morris Talansky and funneled to Prime Minister Olmert through his attorney Uri Messer and chief aide Shula Zaken. Messer has divulged pertinent information to the police, but Zaken has maintained her "right of silence."

The Prime Minister has admitted that he received money but that it was used to cover campaign debts. However, evidence points to suspicions that the money was used for personal objectives.

Lawyers for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are to appear in court at 9 a.m. Friday to argue for a postponement of testimony Talansky is scheduled to give on Sunday before departing for the United States.
