(IsraelNN.com) Construction workers who were preparing to lay a sewage line recently found a stalactite cave containing prehistoric artifacts and remains. The discovery was announced on Thursday, after experts had a chance to examine the findings.

The cave contains many flint tools and the remains of several species that are no longer present in Israel, including red deer, buffalos, and bears. The cave has been sealed to the public, and is being thoroughly examined by the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Center for Cave Exploration.
