Jerusalem 'Rapid Transit' on Slow and Expensive Track Reported: 09:57 AM - May/21/08
(IsraelNN.com) Jerusalem residents waiting to take a ride on the light rail rapid transit system will have to wait at least until 2010, a delay that will cost the government hundreds of millions of dollars, State Comptroller and Ombudsman Micha Lindenstrauss stated in his annual report Wednesday. The trains were supposed to start running two years ago, but massive planning and structural problems have pushed back the completion date several times.
