First-response team members Danny and Itzik Halamish appeared at Jerusalem's Russian Compound Prison Tuesday morning at ten to be jailed after being convicted by a Jerusalem court. They are set to serve seven and eight month jail sentences.

A Supreme Court petition has been filed requesting that the jailing of two members of their local security team be delayed to allow President Shimon Peres time to process a request for clemency.

The Supreme Court will announce in the coming hours whether the petition will be accepted.
