New Zealand Goes Kosher

(IsraelNN.com) New Zealand's first kosher restaurant will open by the end of this year, according to the island-country's Chabad Rabbi Mendy Goldstein. It is being built on the first floor of Chabad offices in the city of Christchurch.
Chabad hopes that it will attract thousands of young Israelis who backpack in the country every year. Most of New Zealand's 7,000 Jews live in Auckland and the capital city of Wellington.
