(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert underwent a medical imaging examination at Hadassah Hospital late Monday night, and doctors said the tests "confirmed the findings of previous examinations." Last year, tests revealed that he has a small growth in the prostate that is not considered dangerous and does not demand immediate surgery.

During a dramatic press conference several months ago, he emphasized that it was important for a prime minister to be candid about his health situation. Prime Minister Olmert said at the time that he would undergo minor surgery to remove the growth when his schedule would allow him to do so, but several months later he announced that the surgery was not necessary.
