Defense Minister Ehud Barak met Monday with Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan. Barak met with Babacan in Egypt to discuss mutual security threats including Iran, Syria and Hizbullah.

The Israeli Defense Minister said that Israel sees a “strategic importance” in its relations with Turkey, and the meeting underscores the notion that the two countries face common enemies.
