Boaz Toporovsky was elected head of the national Student Union on Sunday night. Toporovsky was formerly head of the Student Union of Tel Aviv University.
Toporovsky will replace Itai Shonshein, who served as head of the national Student Union for two years. Shonshein led the union during a massive student strike last year against plans to raise tuition.
