Attorneys for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert filed a motion with the High Court of Justice Thursday to block the State Prosecutor from proceeding with a pre-trial deposition by US businessman Morris (Moshe) Talansky, a central witness and possible suspect in the newest Olmert corruption case.

The attorneys argued that any deposition by Talansky prior to a decision as to whether to indict the Prime Minister would prejudice Olmert's chances of due process.
