Dozens of left-wing Jewish activists joined with Israeli Arab students at a "Nakba" Day rally at Haifa University marking what Arabs call the "catastrophe" of the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.
A student Zionist organization set up a rally across from the group to oppose the demonstration. University officials said both protests were held against campus rules.
