Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Muhammad Ali Husseini said Wednesday that his country supports the efforts by a delegation of Arab foreign ministers to solve the political crisis in Lebanon, Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
"Iran will assist in creating understanding between all sides in Lebanon and [will support] any agreement that is accepted by all of them and enjoys a consensus," Husseini said.
A delegation of Arab foreign ministers headed by Arab League General Secretary Amr Moussa arrived in Beirut Wednesday morning to try and mediate an agreement between Lebanon's factions.
