Poll Shows Hamas Edges Ahead of Fatah's Abbas (IsraelNN.com) A new poll carried out by an independent Arab think tank reveals that Hamas would narrowly defeat Fatah, headed by Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, if elections were held today. The results are a surprise and show that Abbas's popularity has sunk the past four months, dropping 13 percentage points. The survey was conducted by the Arab World for Research & Development think tank and was reported by The Associated Press. However, if jailed terrorist Marwan Barghouti were to run in elections, he would easily defeat Hamas. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
