American President George W. Bush is meeting at this hour with senior government officials and IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi. Iran is one of the major topics on the agenda, and the president agreed with an earlier statement by President Shimon Peres that Israel cannot allow Iran to become a nuclear power.
Participating in the meeting are Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Lt. Gen. Ashkenazi.
