Peres Gives Bush a Bible and Gift for Daughter-Bride
(IsraelNN.com) President Shimon Peres presented the Bush family with a gilded Bible and a jewelry box for their daughter Jenna, who was married several days ago. A relief of Jerusalem was embossed on the Bible. He presented the gifts at ceremonies welcoming the president and his wife at Ben Gurion Airport.
Early Wednesday afternoon, Aliza Olmert, wife of the Prime Minister, escorted President Bush's wife Laura to a baby-care center in the Katamon neighborhood in Jerusalem. The concept of the "tipat chalav" (literally, "drop of milk") centers is unique in Israel and attracted the interest of Laura Bush.
