Jordan Sentences Three Men Who Plotted To Kill Bush
(IsraelNN.com) A Jordanian military court has convicted three terrorists who were planning to kill American President George W. Bush during his visit to the country two years ago. They were handed down 15-year jail sentences. The three men were arrested one day before the president was to arrive in Jordan.
Authorities discovered that the terrorists possessed large plastic bottles filled with gasoline intended for bombs that were to be used in an attack on the American embassy in Amman. They also planned to attack what they thought was the Danish embassy, but the country has no ambassadorial offices in the country.
