Abbas Vows No Deal with Israel without Arab Immigration

(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas visited Arabs who claim to be descendants of former residents of Israel Tuesday and vowed that he will not reach an agreement with Israel without guaranteeing their right to move to the Jewish state. The Arabs' village, generally called a refugee camp, was set up as a replica of the villages in 1948 in order to mark the Nakba, the Arabic term for "catastrophe" and referring to the re-establishment of Israel.

"If we remember the year 1948 as a year of catastrophes, we should remember the Palestinian revolutions of 1921, 1925 and 1936 that erupted after the Balfour Declaration," he told the official PA news agency. "While we negotiate, we know our inalienable rights and we defend those rights."
