(IsraelNN.com) A Canadian colonel who serves as an advisor to American Middle East military envoy Lt. Gen. Keith Dayton visited Hamas officials in Gaza at least three times, according to Hamas security officials. Sources told the French news agency AFP that the advisor was a Canadian who works in the Canadian embassy in Tel Aviv but that his trip had no connection "with the Dayton team."
 
He also met with a senior security officer of forces loyal to Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas and was escorted by Hamas police.
