‘Sheep Junction’ Protest to Continue (IsraelNN.com) Jewish residents of the Hevron region said Sunday that they planned to block the ‘Sheep Junction’ south of the city on Monday morning, as they did on Sunday morning and the week before. Residents said they would continue to disturb traffic at the junction until the government implements an IDF plan to separate Arab and Jewish traffic in the area. Sheep Junction was closed to Palestinian Authority Arabs following multiple terrorist attacks at the site, some fatal. The government recently promised to reopen the crossing to Arab traffic as a “good-will gesture” to ease life for Arabs in Judea and Samaria. Local Jews say the “gesture” will endanger their lives. They are calling on the government to build an underpass for PA Arab use instead. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
