Interior Minister Meir Sheetrit warned Sunday that the growing civil war in Lebanon spells extreme danger for Israel and said that although the situation does not yet warrant intervention by the Jewish State, that could change.

"I think it's very dangerous, the [possibility] in which Iran is in fact sitting on our border and controlling Lebanon," he said. "It's really dangerous in the long term because now it is plain to everyone that... Hizbullah is just the long arm of Iran, and that is the way we should relate to it."
