Olmert Threatens Hamas (IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert issued a harshly-worded threat to Hamas Sunday morning, saying "Either things quiet down or Israel will apply its full force to make them quiet down." The threat followed a weekend in which at least two dozen rockets and mortars were fired at Israeli communities in the western Negev, killing one man, moderately wounding an IDF soldier and lightly wounding seven other Israelis. An apartment building, several houses, a yeshiva and a college building were damaged, a field was burned and a water hose at a farm was destroyed in the attacks. "We hold Hamas responsible for everything that has happened in Gaza…. and we have no intention of putting up with the situation," warned Olmert. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
