Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad went on an anti-Israel tirade on Thursday, calling the country “a stinking corpse” and comparing it to a dead rat.  Israel “is heading for destruction,” he insisted in an interview with the Iranian news agency IRNA.

Ahmadinejad claimed that Israel ended when it was “defeated” by Hizbullah in the Second Lebanon War.  Iran is one of Hizbullah’s main backers, and has reportedly supplied the terrorist group with weapons and training.
