Dorms Ban Israeli Flag, Students Protest

(IsraelNN.com) Several students at Ben Gurion University were shocked on Thursday morning when school officials told them to remove the flags they had hung on their dormitory windows in honor of Independence Day.  The students informed the Im Tirzu (“If You Will It”) Zionist student group, which promised to fight the school’s policy.

Members of Im Tirzu reported that they were collecting student complaints and had contacted school officials to discuss the matter.  In the meantime, they called on the public to pressure the university management by signing a petition calling on the school to allow students to fly the Israeli flag “and to stop their anti-Zionist policy.”
