      Naval Bases in Ashdod, Eilat Open to Public on Thursday


      The IDF naval base in Ashdod will be open to the public on Thursday, Yom HaAtzmaut (Independence Day), between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. An exhibition will include missile and patrol boats. The base in Eilat will be open Wednesday night between 10 p.m. and midnight.

      The Air Force base in Ovda will be open between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, with an exhibition of IAF aircraft, weapons and search and rescue equipment. Helicopters will conduct two flyovers.

      The outdoor Air Force museum at Hatzerim, five miles east of Be'er Sheva, will be open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Other bases will be open in the morning and early afternoon hours at Metar and Netivot, and the site in Dimona will be open until 4 p.m. No cameras are allowed at the IDF bases.
