British Jewish Academics Publish Anti-Israel Ad

(IsraelNN.com) About 100 Jewish academics and writers published an advertisement Wednesday in which they announced they would not be celebrating Israel's 60th anniversary next week. The ad which appeared in the Guardian newspaper defined Israel as "a state based on terror."
The petition's signatories include medical expert Prof. Steven Rose, Mike Rosen of Radio 4, an attorney named Daniel Makover and Prof. Chaim Bereshit.
Israel is a state based on "terror, massacre and expulsion of people from their land," the petitioners said, adding: "We will only celebrate when Arabs and Jews live as equals in a calm Middle East.
