"Little David" Could Still Pack a Big Wallop (IsraelNN.com) Archaeologists have found a homemade mortar from the "Davidka" (Little David) Israeli cannon used during the 1948 War of Independence in Jerusalem, it was announced Tuesday. The mortar -- which authorities believe may still be dangerous -- was found in the Western Wall (Kotel) Plaza during archaeological exacavations in the area.
