One Million Donation for Akko Hesder Yeshiva
(IsraelNN.com) A New York philanthropist has donated one million dollars to the Hesder yeshiva in Akko (Acre), on the Mediterranean Coast north of Haifa. The donor laid the cornerstone for a new yeshiva complex.
The yeshiva is one of several Torah institutions in the city that have tried recently to increase the Jewish presence in Akko, where local Arabs have attacked Jewish targets several times in recent months.
