Arab terrorists fired two rockets in the Ashkelon Coastal Regional Council area in the past hour, less than three hours after an IDF counterterrorist operation aimed at reducing the rocket strikes. Terrorists also shelled Eshkol Regional kibbutzim, causing damage to buildings but no injuries.
Egypt has negotiated between Hamas and Israel for a "calm" in attacks and counterterrorism, and foreign media have reported that American President George W. Bush is anxious for a ceasefire. However, the proposed agreement has not included other terrorist groups, mainly Islamic Jihad.
