(IsraelNN.com) Dozens of Arab residents of Hevron and extreme-left Israelis marched down the main road of Hevron’s Jewish neighborhood on Friday afternoon.  Members of the group carried signs and flags in support of the terrorist Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).  Several members of the group attacked a local Jew, who required medical attention.

The group blocked the road, preventing local Jews from entering or leaving their homes.  IDF soldiers informed the group that the event was illegal, but group members refused to leave.  One senior Israeli leftist was arrested.

Leftists later expressed anger at local police, saying the police had arrested a leftist but had not arrested local Jews who threw eggs at the leftists’ bus.  Local Jews expressed anger as well, saying the police regularly allow extreme leftists and anarchists to disrupt Jewish life in Hevron.
